Subject: Jesus , the Messiah - Yeshua ha Mashiach |
Bible Note: Hi John I'm kinda there too, i.e., if Jesus caught the church away tonight (wouldn't that be marvelous??) those believing Jews would go too. I'm speaking of those who are not yet born-again, but are, with everything that is in them, still looking to be godly and hoping for Yeshua ha Mashiach. Just as down through the ages God has always had an army of born-again, Spirit-led people, He also has always had a remnant of godly Israel. Did that explain my thinking? I think we're pretty much on the same page. It's just that I don't think that becoming a Christian the Jew has given up his heritage of being natural born Israel. Instead we as non-Jewish become grafted in, spiritual Israel (this is how I understand Romans chapters 9-11). Am I all wrong here? I'm not arguing the point, there's just a lot of questions. Like, Doc, you said you were Jewish born. You probably don't observe the Jewish traditions now but do you not have a love for Israel, the land your Father promised to your people, and are they not still your people, even though they, as a whole may be blinded to the truth right now? Do you not pray for them first of all? (I do because Jesus told us too, but you should for that reason AND because they are your people.) in Love Cheri |
