Subject: rapture or tribulation? |
Bible Note: Hi Timmy68, There is one other point I would like to offer. 1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Assuming you consider these passage to be speaking of the same event, the trumpet sounded is called the "trump of God." According to Rev 8:13 "And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!" these are not the "trumpets of God", they are the "trumpets of the angels".
