Bible Question (short): Answer from Lockman Foundation |
Question (full): Here is the answer I received from the Lockman Foundation: ----------- To answer your question, the Ryrie Study Bible was the first release of the NASB Updated Edition, and a small degree of fine tuning did occur between the Ryrie and the subsequent releases of the Update. The first Ryrie Study Bible featuring the 1995 NASB Update is very close to subsequent releases of NASB Updated Editions. Rest assured, the NASB was not extensively updated after the Ryrie Edition and so did not require any sort of special announcement as to this. As always, the NASB remains the most literally accurate Bible in the English language. It may be same case, (a timing issue) with the passages at biblegateway.com. We will look into it. As stated above the translators and editors are always fine tuning the NASB in new print runs. ----------- (I'm posting this as a question so it gets a little visibility but no real need for an anwswer unless there's something to add.) |
