Bible Question:
I have two different copies of NASB Bibles. One is a Ryrie study Bible and the other is a slimline pocket Bible. Also, sometimes I look up NASB passages at biblegateway.com. ALL of these claim to be using the NASB 1995 edition by the Lockman Foundation, yet I find variation in many verses. What is going on here? How can I tell for certain that I am using the 1995 version? How do I know which is the "official" Lockman Foundation NASB? Thanks. [Notes: (1) I couldn't find a more suitable category or place to ask this question, I couldn't find anything related in the existing questions, and I couldn't find any way to contact Lockman Foundation directly to ask the question of someone in charge! (2) I am re-entering this question so it moves to the head of the line and has a fresh chance to be answered. The forum doesn't seem to be very user-friendly in terms of displaying, organizing, and searching for questions and answers, and other common functions. Sorry!] |
Bible Answer: Hi Toleno, I don't know about the variations, although I can tell you how to contact Lockman. At the top of this page is a "Lockman" tab, click it to go to the Lockman Foundation Home Page. On it, at the left, is a link for "About the Lockman Foundation". Click that and it will take you to a page with a tab "Contact Us", which will take you to the contact information. I hope this helps. Please let us know what you find out. Love in Christ, Mark |
