Bible Question:
Hi Friends... I one asked God to kill me as i had been through many problems .... I then asked God what to do about a work situation and shortly afterwards i was fired.... i took it as a sign... and left ... so basically for God i left my family town friends everything ... Which the bible says if u leave family ect for God your rewards will be everlasting eternity or something along those lines ( i think ) God answered my death proposal by almost killing me ... in the end i survived.... however still not satisfied , I was offered a job in another town , but decided to rather complete an alpha course and hopefully find God..... during the alpha course i somehow commited an eternal sin by swearing against the Holy spirit (was not planned) I wondering if that was Satan acting in my life or if God was trying to teach me a lesson ? what do u guys think ? I am seriously stuck and do not know what to do .... catch 22 Do u think i am going to hell ? |
Bible Answer: Hi. I'm sorry to hear that you have gotten so down that you wanted God to kill you. However, it isn't a feeling only you have had. In the world we live in today, many people feel lost, hurt, alone, etc. and if they don't have a relationship with Jesus they don't know where to turn and sometimes turn the wrong way and end up dead or on the the pathway to it. When you got fired and you thought it was a sign from God, well that can be seen in many ways, depending on how you look at the situation. Although, God did not fire you, your boss did, God is there to help you get through it. A lot of people say God makes bad things happen to teach us something, but God is not evil, Satan is evil, however there are consequences for our sin. But if we believe Jesus Christ died for our sins we are free from the punishment many people fear and others will face because they did not accept Jesus. (Read Romans 3) - 3:25 "For God sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to satisfy God's anger against us. We are made right with God when we believe that Jesus shed his blood, sacrificing his life for us..." Satan gets into our heads and lives so easily and in many different ways, but God is there to help us out and not give in to that temptation to sin. Hebrews 2:18 says "Since he himself has gone through suffering and temptation, he is able to help us when we are being tempted." I believe we are taught lessons by the Holy Spirit which lives inside of us. We learn from experience when we listen to the Holy Spirit and what it is telling us about ourselves and God. Satan is always going to be there trying to bring you down, but God who loves you is there to make sure you stay afloat and He loves you more than anyone does. I don't know if all this helped you, but I pray it did. However, I know the only one who can truly help you is God, I'll be praying for you. Write back if you can. -Amber |
