Subject: Scriptural Support? |
Bible Note: As I've stated many, many times the OT is an incredibly valuable document for all the reasons I've stated previously and a whole lot more. The main reasons why the OT is obsolete and the NT takes its place is the difference mainly between its form of worship, method of salvation through Jesus the Perfect Sacrifice and the fact we as christians can now approach God the Father directly through Jesus instead of going through another man (Levite Priest). I would never discard my treasured OT for its incredible insight into the mind of God and His amazing amount of patience and love He showed to His beloved Jewish children. But again as I've stated before, there are many (millions in fact, throughout the world) of faithful christians who see this contrast the same way as I do. Yes, Jesus fulfilled the OT by living the perfect, sinless life and then died the perfect sinless Sacrifice for you and me so that we could go Home to our Father after the ending of this world. My main scriptural support would come from the Book of Hebrews which clearly demonstrates and explains the superiority of Christianity over the whole of Judiasm and again in the Book of Romans, Chapter 8:1-4 God bless.
