Bible Question: Charis, I had to look at your profile to make sure what gender I was speaking with, not that it really matters. Anyway, I agree that there WERE three baptisms, 1) the baptism of John unto repentance, 2) the baptism of the Holy Spirit (fire), 3) and water baptism. Each of these had a purpose. My question to you is what purpose did each serve? If you have the time please cite scripture to support your position for each. Thank you. |
Bible Answer: i have a question?if there are 3 baptisms that "have" to been done today in order to be saved, why did peter say this in acts 11:16,was it because the messiah said this in acts 1:5.Peter said then he "remembered",if you remember something, does that not mean for whatever amount of time you forgot what you were told!....You cannot use the word "remember" in any sense unless something was forgotten, apparently a situation or somenone or something now makes you remember and now you hence acts 11:16......why would a person have to do all these things when the baptism was already done?when the messiah was baptized by john he ended "all" physical ordinances(galatians 3:23-27.simple and plain no doctrines of man, just simple and plain, when he came no more custodian of the law,now read acts 1:5...,then read 11:16......just imo!...... |
