Bible Question:
Ordination of Women There seem to be many views about this topic. I want to know how can anyone question someone who feels that they have been called by God? We have a woman in our church who feels that God is calling her to be ordained. This has split our church right down the middle as far as opinions go. I am of the thinking that if someone feels they have heard God speaking to them, who are we (they) to say he isn't??? Does anyone have any insight on this. I will be representing my opinion (and that of many others) tonight in our church conference. Any advice, suggestions, scripture is appreciated! |
Bible Answer: Hello Donnaeve Yes, there are many views on this topic. You will get all those views on this forum. The only objective criteria we have are the Scriptures. What do they say particularly in the NT? The verses I would point to are 1 Cor 11:2-16, 1 Cor 14:26-40, 1 Tim 2:8-15, and Titus 2:3-5. Also, try doing a Quick Search (upper right) on certain words.
