Bible Question: I want to ask this question, if it is right (I don't mean if it is sin). If I'm fasting and praying for 3 days and on the second day go to church and there's a Lord's super or commuion. Do I have to eat the Lord's super or commuion and continue with my fasting and prayer or not to take part in the Lord's super or commuion. Which is right. Thanx, and God bless you. |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... 1 Cor 11:27-32, 33-34 ... JOECASH, I'll give another approach. Both fasting and taking the Lord's Supper is something between you and the Lord. Since you knew (I presume) that the Lord's Supper would be given on the second day of your fast ... 1) you could of delayed your fast or 2) skipped the Lord's Supper. We are not forced to take part. We should not if we feel we are unworthy (1 Cor 11:27-32). I'd choose the second. Because when I fast, I do get hungry and we should eat at home before we partake of the Lord's Supper (vv 33-34).
