Bible Question: I need scripture relating to luck being a blessing. I'm putting together a youth devotion replacig the word luck with blessing |
Bible Answer: Greeting and welcome to the forum, I think the best verse that describes “luck, be it good or bad” would be found in the following verse but not all have the knowledge expressed by Paul. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. The key to the previous verse is knowing that everything that happens to a believer falls within the realm of God’s love for us and the fact that He wants to conform believers to the image of His Son. Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. These verses eliminate any form of luck from the equation in the believer’s modus vivendi. 1 Thes. 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. There is no such thing as luck in the Christian way of life; a “true Christian’s” life is all ordered by the designed of a loving God; and what believer would want it any other way? I hope you enjoy the forum, CDBJ |
