Subject: Do Jesus and Paul agree on salv by faith |
Bible Note: The answer to your question is, no, no one is saved outside of Christ. That, I am sure, we agree on. The question is, is Rome the sole representative of Christ and His Gospel? Just to make sure that I understand what you are saying. You believe that the act of baptism saves ones soul? Is that baptism only valid in the Catholic church? Our you trusting in you baptism for your eternal security? How does this compare with John 5:24 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Rom 1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH." Rom 3:28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law. Rom 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; Eph 2:9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. Eph 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. |
