Are you saying here that Abraham did not have faith until God tested him? You also wrote: "Faith is born with the obedience of a broken heart not the words of a clever mind." Biblically speaking, faith produces obedience, not the other way around. "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love." --Galatians 5:6 Hebrews 11 gives a long list of saints whose works were evidence of their faith. Their faith was not born by their obedience, but rather their obedience was born by their faith. --Joe! |
