Subject: Entering Heaven |
Bible Note: Dear rferg, Maybe some clarification is needed. At any rate, this topic has been discussed and debated significantly on the Forum. You state "We are baptized for the forgiveness of sins. We repent then the water washes away our sins. Then we recieve the Holy Spirit." According to Eph. 1:7 "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace". Scripture seems to contradict what you say? Additionally, if as you say, the "water washes away our sins", then what did Christs' sacrifice on the cross accomplish? Further, what of 1 Cor.12:11- "we are all baptized BY ONE SPIRIT"? If you are advocating the Church of Christ view regarding salvation, I'm not buying it:-) Speaking The Truth In Love, BradK |
