Bible Note: Pete, The Word judges you, not I. I'm not offended by you, but rather the words you wrote are in contradiction with the Word of God. You appear to have a fundamental misunderstanding of God and His Word! I was simply responding to what you wrote. Pete, you're the one who initially stated you're new to the study of the Bible, correct? Are you truly seeking to learn? If you are, then why do you consistently challenge those of us who are seeking to instruct you? Why don't you consider that: 1. You may be wrong; 2. We're trying to give you solid direction; For instance, what you state about 1 John 5 is correct. However you immediately contradict yourself by saying, "it doesn't exclude those who are born in another culture and through no fault of their own will never get to know him." Yes, it does? Read Rom. 1:20. The verse does not say what you add! Aunt Miyoiko, is either a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, or she's not! I can't make that call, only God can. However, as much as she may be a very loving and (outwardly) righteous person, she is still a sinner in need of a Savior! (Read Romans 1-3) We are all condemned to hell(God's wrath)unless we receive Christ as our Savior! Read John 3:36. The doctrine of condemnation is laid out by Paul in Rom. 1:18 - 3;23! The whole world is guilty before God. Again, read Rom. 1:20- we're ALL without excuse- even Aunt Miyoiko. If she has not received Christ, she stands condemned. She is in need of accepting the forgiveness offered by Christ and Him only! Read John 11:25-26! I suggest taking much more time- and prayer- to think about and meditate upon what we've said in light of God's Word! Prov 19:20- Listen to counsel and accept discipline, That you may be wise the rest of your days. Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
