Bible Question: I have a friend that is really struggling with what God wants him to do in life. He is having a hard time figuring out what he has a passion for and I was wondering if there was anybody in the bible who needed to be patient and in time God revealed to them what he had planned. I am really just seeking some wisdom or insightful words to encourage him to keep building his character and by pursuing God, he won't be lead astray. I think the biggest reason he is stressed is because he is receiving a lot of pressure from his parents to figure out what he wants to do in life now and their expectations are really high. |
Bible Answer: How about Moses? He started out trying to do things his own way, angrily killed an egyptian, fled to Midian and tended sheep for most of his life (Exodus 2). Since he died at 120 (Deut 34:7) and wandered in the wilderness for 40 years(Num 14:33), he must have waited close to 80 years before the Lord revealed what He wanted Moses to do. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.(Lam 3:25 KJV) |
