Subject: Should a Christian be a Mason? |
Bible Note: Dear Norrie, I apologize, and you are absolutely right- you cannot discredit a particular source unless what they have actually stated or presented is clearly in error of God's Word and that is confirmed by a few witnesses and not just one witness. In fact, sometimes this type of "slander" is absolutely baseless and not true, circulated only for the reason of tearing down a selected person or ministry- thus accomplishing the devil's work and spreading doubt, mistrust, etc. I felt the same way about Tommy Tenny, I read his book "The God Chasers" and got on his e-mail list, but someone told me that he believes in "Oneness" instead of in the Trinity, and my view of him and his ministry totally changed. If we have 'slandered' Chick Publications and if you are a member/subscriber of their flyer "The Battle Cry" and order their tracts, then there is absolutely no reason why you cannot continue to order their tracts and continue to use them! However, they have many materials that are 'confrontational' at best that argue a particular viewpoint based on what may or may not be 'sound' ground (or footing) for a particular viewpoint. Examples? If you go to their website, you will find all kinds of materials that are pro-KJV Onlyism, anti-Catholic, anti-Mason, etc, etc. What I meant to say about Chick Publications is that you must not base certain beliefs on their conclusions only; I suggest trying other sources first, seeking a sound and sober understanding of a topic before consulting Chick Publications. Thank you Norrie, and I apologize if I have created more 'doubt' for you about who you can trust in the realm of Christian resources. Blessings, Nolan |
