Bible Question:
CDBJ, Thankyou, that's good information and helps clarify the passage, but I didn't see the answer to my question. The question again is, who are the dead who didn't come to life until the end of the 1,000 years? the "dead" who didn't come to life until the end of the 1,000 years? thanks, Chusarcik |
Bible Answer: Rev. 20:4 John stated that these martyred dead came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Their coming to life suggest that they will be given resurrected bodies. Rev. 20:5 John was also informed that the rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This refers to the resurrection of the wicked dead, discussed in vv 11-15. All the righteous, regardless of when they are raised, take part in the resurrection which is first or before the final resurrection (of the wicked dead)at the end of the Millennium, This supports the conclusion that the resurrection of the righteous is by stages. So the answer would be the wicked dead (those that are unsaved at the time of their death) their bodies will be joined with their spirits which have been in hades. They will be resecurrected for their judgment. |
