Subject: Where does this story come from? |
Bible Note: This is an excellent book (written by Phillip Keller) but I do not recall anything about breaking a lamb's leg. However, I can see how that could be used in relating to what the Lord could do to us. If a shepherd has a lamb that is continually straying and other's are following it, in order to save it's life, a broken leg would limit it's mobility, even after it healed. Doesn't the Lord do that to us sometimes? If we are involved in hurtful practices or have other sins in our lives that He wants to remove from us in order to use us - this could be pride, lust, etc.- He could allow a very painful situation to arise that would remove us from this sin so that we could live and ultimatly reap the joys of being in closer fellowship with Him.
