Subject: so, you're saying that they go to hell? |
Bible Note: Greetings Wannabe! Do we ever find YHWH in the New Testament? Every time an Old Testament passage is quoted in the NT where YHWH occurs, it is translated as 'kurios' or Lord. How then can it be 'wrong' for us to translate the Hebrew word YHWH as 'LORD'? If your point was valid, then we would find the trasliteration 'YHWH' in the Greek text, but we don't. When Jesus Himself quoted Is. 61, He used 'kurios', not 'YHWH'. So, did Jesus 'remove' the Divine name? Jevovah's witnesses make a big issue of this because everyone loves a conspiracy. It sounds important to say that they are 'restoring' the lost name of God. Yet, they didn't even transliterate it correctly in their very own name - YHWH is Yahweh, definitely not Jehovah. But, put all the smoke and mirrors aside and we find that Jevovah's witnesses teach false doctrine. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
