Bible Question:
What does Son of Man mean? does it mean Jesus, the Son of God, since Man starts with big "M" in all the New Testament chapters or is it just referring to Jesus as the son of a human (Joseph)? vkey |
Bible Answer: Dear Wkey, I believe Jesus is fully God, AND Jesus is fully man. I believe the writers of the Bible capitalize the word "Man" because of who they are talking about. I doubt there is any such thing in the original languages. I also believe when Jesus calls Himself the "Son of Man" he, being God, is speaking from HIS perspective: To us, what makes Him different than us is that He is the Son of God. To Him, what makes Him different in the Godhead, is that He is the only Person [in the Trinity of the Godhead] that is truly MAN. |
