Bible Question:
I wonder about the sincerity of John 3:16. We are told that God loves the world (that is, the people of the world) so much that He has provided a way of salvation. But, in order to be saved you must believe the Gospel. My problem is simply this: millions of people have lived and died and never heard the Gospel. It was not possible for them to believe something they never heard. It seems that if God loves the people of this world so much, He would have the ability to see to it that everyone would have the opportunity to at least hear the Gospel. I wonder about John 3:16. Bible Answer: Rom 9:15 For He says to Moses, "I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I HAVE MERCY, AND I WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON WHOM I HAVE COMPASSION Rom 2:6 who WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS God does not owe anyone mercy, only justice. If God saved no one, he would be no less perfectly righteous and good. Peace, Lionstrong |
