Subject: can you lose your salvation |
Bible Note: "Unless you are actively involved in sin or plan to be, the answer should hold no interest to you."....i'm not sure i understand that statement...since we all have sinned and continue to sin and fall short of the glory of God, how can you make that statement?...all of us sin everyday, except of course those of us on this forum(sarcasm)...from your position it sounds like you feel if a person is actively involved in sin:ie pornography, fornication etc.. then that person is different from the person who doesn't do those things BUT,that person maybe doesn't tithe or show goodness or kindness, gentleness is evident to none, doesn't do what he/she ought to do...based on your position it (and i'm assuming)seems the latter doesn't count as "sin"...is that correct?...you said "Why do you want to act like a child with God, saying, "if I do this will you forgive me?"...because some of us are more mature than others, some stronger than others...and we know the strong shall bear the infirmites of the weak... and on the issue of sin james reminds us in 4:17 "anyone, then, who knows the good he outght to do and doesn't do it, sins...passed by any homeless people and didn't help, saw a tv addd for christian childrens fund and didn't send a couple of bucks, knew a friend or family member in need and didn't help...not part of any church ministries...and i could go on...i leave with this question where is rahab(the prostitute) going heaven or hell? |
