Bible Note: Greetings Schwartzkm! I agree that I don't agree with their definition of sovereignty, but I don't agree that their definition of sovereignty is simply the result of Greek philosophy. One can make a case from Scripture for their view, I just don't think it is in harmony with other passages of Scripture (for instance, the "all" passages). My concerns are two-fold. 1) Liberals have been trying to deny every attribute of God found in Scripture by simply saying that they were all influenced by Greek philosophy. So, I want to be careful in using that charge. 2) I don't want this thread to become personal and question the integrity of those who differ from my view. Calvinism is well within the realm of orthodoxy. So, I don't mind debating the issue. I just don't want to get personal. I would be interested in checking out the book though!
