Bible Note: Hello, Justin I hope I do not seem confrontational. I am very passionate about the foundation of Christianity. Martin Luther King after receiving the revelation that the righteous will live by faith removed the book of James (because he thought it conflicted with salvation through faith). Later, when he understood James, he had it re-inserted. Faith without works is dead … this simply means that if you have a genuine faith in God you will act in a certain way. Romans 10:9-11 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. John 5:4-6 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God John 3:15-17 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Romans 3:27-29 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law. Romans 4:1-3 If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about--but not before God. Romans 5:1-2 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Romans 10:9-11 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Galatians 2:15-17 know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified. The following scripture is one of the reasons I am so zealous about this topic. Galatians 5:3-5 You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. Ephesians 2:7-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— So do these scriptures conflict with scriptures from James such as: James 2:23-25 You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. No, the answer is this … genuine faith leads to works … salvation is NOT by works … Galatians 3:1-3 I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by believing what you heard?
