AMPLIFIED 2015 | Revelation 3:5 'He who overcomes [the world through believing that Jesus is the Son of God] will accordingly be dressed in white clothing; and I will never blot out his name from the Book of Life, and I will confess and openly acknowledge his name before My Father and before His angels [saying that he is one of Mine]. Bible Question (short): How does eternal security build faith? |
Question (full): Radioman, I agree with everything you have just written, but what does this message convey? If a deacon, pastor, preacher, priest, bishop or pope tells me that I am saved and can not loss my salvation no matter what, where does the Fear of the Lord come in and the need for trust. What is the meaning of this passage in Psalm 107 23 Others went out on the sea in ships; they were merchants on the mighty waters. 24 They saw the works of the LORD , his wonderful deeds in the deep. 25 For he spoke and stirred up a tempest that lifted high the waves. 26 They mounted up to the heavens and went down to the depths; in their peril their courage melted away. 27 They reeled and staggered like drunken men; they were at their wits' end. 28 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. 29 He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. 30 They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven. 31 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men. 32 Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people and praise him in the council of the elders. Many of the Saints in the Bible lived through periods of uncertainty in their lives and questioned what God was doing. Rather than, “once saved always saved,” I chose to remember, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” Maybe just another point of view…. philemcc |
