Subject: Who are the Gog and Magog? |
Bible Note: EdB; I liked your answer, that is a classic and one that I will have to remember. A lot of believers don't realize that God has promised us eternal life and it starts the moment that we believe in Jesus Christ and trust Him for our salvation. God didn't promise us a bed of roses down here but He does promise that we wouldn't be alone in out struggle through psychical life. Fox's Book of Martyrs sure makes this clear, and I think the worst is yet to come. There are actually more martyrs in this day and age then were in the days mentioned in the Book of Martyrs, according to statistics. Paul explains something to us in 2 Thes. 1:4-10 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: 5Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: 6Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 7And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 10When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. |
