NASB | Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Revelation 20:6 Blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired) and holy is the person who takes part in the first resurrection; over these the second death [which is eternal separation from God, the lake of fire] has no power or authority, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and they will reign with Him a thousand years. [Ex 19:6; 1 Pet 2:5, 9; Rev 1:6; 5:10] |
Subject: Is this a lottery? |
Bible Note: Scripture ... Rev 9:14ff, Rev 20:4-6, 12-15 ......... Thosee who are spared and which are destroyed (in Rev 9:14ff) is not a lottery. God doesn't give the basis of selection. You may think the church will not go thru the "Great Tribulation" ... but read who will rule with Christ (Rev 20:4-6) - also that it implies some Christians will not be risen for a thousand years. Then all unbelievers will experience the second death (Rev 20:12-15). |
