AMPLIFIED 2015 | Revelation 14:1 Then I looked, and this is what I saw: the Lamb stood [firmly established] on Mount Zion, and with Him a hundred and forty-four thousand who had His name and His Father's name inscribed on their foreheads [signifying God's own possession]. [Joel 2:32] |
Subject: WTB, Where do you see 144K is the church |
Bible Note: Hi Steve, in the OT, redemption was according to obedience of the rule in each dispensation. For example, in the dispensation of Conscience, souls were responsible for knowing the difference between right and wrong. In the dispensation of Law, they were responsible for obeying the Law. But redemption by the blood of the Lamb, was not in the OT. Mount Zion is typical figure of the Church (Obadiah 1:17; Isaiah 2; Psalm 2). If you look at verse 4 in the natural sense, then wouldn't this mean that the 144K were only men who were virgins? What about men who defile themselves with men, are they part of the 144K since they didn't defile themselves with women? I have to look at this verse as speaking of spiritual purity because natural virginity without Christ as Savior is worthless. Thanks for your response, WalkingTalkingBible |
