Bible Question:
Before I had a discussion with someone about what the red writing represent in the gospel of jesus christ. The red writing not only represent jesus talking it represent his blood which was shredded for us. In Rev 7:13 Quotes:Then one the elders answered, saying to me these who are clothed in white robes who are they, and where have they come from. I said to him my lord, you know, and he said these are the ones who came out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white with the blood of the lamb. Now, if we think with our natural mine it is no way possible that we can wash a robe an make it white with blood, but if think with our spirit mine we can take jesus christ testimony which is in red then we can make our robes white with the blood of the lamb. P.S Sorry for miss spelled words |
Bible Answer: Hello brother,if it's sister no insult intended. I will presume you are refering to the verses that are printed in red in the Gospels. If not please set me straight. Back when I was a kid we had no red letter addition bibles. It was all black letters. It's my impression that when they started printing the red letter edititon bibles it was to identify the words spoke by Jesus. The gospels do teach that we are saved by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Revelation 7:13,14 I believe while it speaks of those who are saved out of the great tribulation,it talks about also the cleansing power of His blood. 1 Jn 1:7,9 When I read these verses I like to think,it keeps on cleansing. What Jesus did was a one time thing. He died for every sin I've ever commmitted and ever will commit. Therfore the phrase it keeps on cleansing. ICor 1:18 tells us that the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those who are saved and to those being saved its the power of God.Thats huge! Check out 1 Cor 2:14. You can see these things because you are a born again son of God and it is(Col 1:27) Christ in you. When I think about that it Absolutly blows me away. My friend we are able to the things of God because we are his sons. Whether the words Jesus spoke in the gospels are printed in red or black they dont add or take anything away from what we read in Rev 7:13,14. If it helps to keep you closer to God and make you stronger outstanding. Make sure you understand 2 Peter 1:21,22 and your doing 2 Timothy 2:15. Doc, Kalos,Ray, help me out here if I'm missing something here. I dont wanna be pushing anyone away or confuse them. tduplechain Godbless you. Your brother in Christ, lionheart |
