Personal profile for user screen name: morton-lindiema I am 47 years of age. I became a "christian" in my older teens. Since that time, I have been studying the bible because I am convinced it is the word of God, therefore able to lead and instruct us in the ways of God. In so many ways my testomony is that he has engrafted his word into my life and it has proved a salvation to my soul.(JA 1:21) I believe knowing God is the only thing that makes sense of all the many contradictions and things that make no sense in life. Trusting in the Lord Jesus is the greatest thing that has ever happened in my life. Through all the ups and downs, and many times ive fallen he is the good sheperd on who i trust, even though it means a rod and staff my heart is set to follow him. 01/07I have written a concise statement of faith. (my beliefs) Which show my understanding of the truths contained in scripture, it has come through what i have learned over the years from many followers of the Lord.I would be intrested in any comments concerning anything you may consider unscriptural or if there are any essensial areas of biblical teaching not implied or missed out in this statement of faith. WE BELIEVE THERE IS ONE TRUE LIVING GOD, OF HIM, THROUGH HIM, AND TO HIM ARE ALL THINGS. HE HAS REVEALED HIMSELF TRIUNE, HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD OF HOSTS. HE CREATED ALL THINGS VERY GOOD. AT THE FALL ADAM FOLLOWED SATAN, SO IN HIM ALL HAVE SINNED. NOW MAN AND CREATION IS UNDER THE CURSE. OUR SALVATION IS THROUGH THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF DAVID, THE SON OF ABRAHAM, THE ONLY BEGOTTON SON OF GOD. THE MESSIAH OF ISRAEL WAS BORN OF A VIRGIN, BY THE HOLY SPIRIT AND IN SUCH LIVED A PERFECT SINLESS LIFE. HE WAS BETRAYED, AND GAVE HIMSELF UP TO CRUCIFIXION. HE DIED, WAS BURIED. HE ROSE AGAIN. HE ASCENDED AND IS SEATED AT THE FATHERS RIGHT HAND. HE WILL RETURN, ALL ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE. THE LORD WILL BRING HIS RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT AND ETERNAL KINGDOM FULFILLING ALL THE PURPOSES OF GOD HIS FATHER. UNTIL THAT TIME HE HAS COMMISSIONED BELIEVERS TO PROCLAIM HIS KINGDOM AND MAKE FOLLOWERS AFTER HIM. TEACHING THAT ALL SCRIPTURE (THE BIBLE) IS OUR RULE FOR LIFE , WHEREBY WE ARE TO ACCOUNT FOR WHAT IS ACCEPTED, BELIEVED, CONFESSED, AND DONE. ALL TO HIS GLORY. EVEN SO COME LORD JESUS. GRACE AND PEACE BE WITH US ALL. AMEN. God willing i hope to take each phrase and expand giving a scriptural explaination.
