Bible Question:
This is a question about rebuking the devil, whether I ought to do so out loud or if I can do so in my mind. Someone told me that Satan cannot read our thoughts. Since it cannot read our thoughts, if I rebuke it in my mind, it does not hear the rebuke or even know that I did rebuke it in the name of Jesus. A related question, is this: Can the devil get into my mind? |
Bible Answer: Satan can read your thoughts. Think about it, you don't always speak your insecurities but you think about them, and that is exactly how Satan figures out how to attack you. This is the purpose for speaking in tongues, it is our prayer language, a language that only God and you can understand. You should always rebuke Satan out loud in the name of Jesus. God gives us that authority Mark 3:15. What you should not do is try to argue with Satan, that you should always leave to God. If Satan is bothering you though, you stand your ground and tell him Satan- I recognize you and I rebuke you in the Name of Jesus Christ. I plea the blood of Jesus over my life, you have no authority here be gone in the name of Jesus. I hope this can help you. Don't ever think that you do not have authority to tell him to leave you alone, like I said that is God given. He will try to make you feel stupid sometimes when you about to speak to him, don't he just wants to have control. But don't try to have a conversation with him that is not at all okay, that will just get you into more trouble than ever, leave that to God. The bible says speak with your mouth Matt 17:20, not think it, remember that too. God Bless you and Good luck. |
