NASB | 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God's judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God's love]. |
Subject: Did Jesus have anxiety? |
Bible Note: Mth 29;22-23,? DaiiryLeader5 - I read the verses and I don't disagree with you. Jesus got angry, but He did not sin. Jesus could certainly experience anxiety and sin not. Jesus, knowing the heart of the Father had what we do not - absolute trust and confidence in God. What keeps us from fully knowing as we are known? I'm suggesting it is our sin nature. Jesus sinned not. He was fully human and fully Divine. Many things we won't understand this side of Glory, and that's OK with me. In Christ, mommapbs |
