Bible Question:
I have a close family member who is a leader in the Mormon church. He gave us a lot of material on their beliefs to read. There are a lot of rabbit trails we could disagree about, but I want to get to the heart of what they believe and be able to give biblical examples of the truth. Does anyone have good, sound biblical answers for me? I have been doing a lot of study in this area on my own, but would appreciate any wisdom that I can get. Thanks, Shelley |
Bible Answer: I did some books of mormons my niece belongs to them before. I dont know if aware that Momrmons belief that God is a man before like what we are now. They do believed that someday they will become God also. They believed that God the father that they are worshiping is Adam. They also believed that God has many wives, like Smith that has 48 wives and Young 36 if I am not mistaken. They are not belong to Christian believed and thier believed is very different compare to a Christian. They are allowed to have many wives. The biblical example maybe for them was the propecies: 1Jo 4:1 ΒΆ Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. |
