AMPLIFIED 2015 1 John 2:1 My little children (believers, dear ones), I am writing you these things so that you will not sin and violate God's law. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate [who will intercede for us] with the Father: Jesus Christ the righteous [the upright, the just One, who conforms to the Father's will in every way--purpose, thought, and action].

Subject:  We have an Advocate!

Bible Note:  Hi makarios, The Son of God is indeed our Advocate with the Father and these things of 1 John2:1 tie in with the things of 1 John 5:13. We believe in the name of the Son of God and because of that we know that we have eternal life. And we know that (He) hears us in whatever we ask, 1 John 5:15.

1 John 2:2, "and He (Himself) is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world."

1 John 1:7, "and the blood of Jesus His (Son) cleanses us from all sin.

You are right about the accuser of the brethren, Rev. 12:10, "who accuses them before our God day and night. And they overcame him because of the blood of the (Lamb) and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death."

Hebrews 2:9, "But we do see Him who has been made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God (He) might taste death for everyone."

Hebrews 2:17, "Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, that He might become a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to (God), to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted."
