Subject: what does 1 Peter 3:3 mean? |
Bible Note: I think if you read 1 Peter 3:3 as a restriction of what women can wear then you missed the point. This verse speaks of the chasteness of womens attire and is not a list for prohibited items. God wants us to be adorned with the "imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God." In other words, do not let your outside be what people see as a testament of your faith, show it through your actions as you live your life. |
