Subject: Do we get saved by Baptism? |
Bible Note: jwid7, Welcome to the forum. I read Tamara's post to you and she made a valid point on reconciling scripture. I believe all scripture can be reconciled. It's a matter of people being willing and able to do the homework and leg work involved in studying all this out in the context of God's Word. 2 Timothy 2:15, 3:16,17 and 2 Peter 1:19-21. With these as bedrock scriptures we can begin to do productive studies of God's Word and we will fine that scripture is reconcilable and doesn't contradict itself. Look at Mark 16:15, Matt 28:18-20, Acts 2:38. It all fits together. Baptism is part of our salvation as is faith and repentance. Now the question is and I will say this off the get go that if we take any one of these things do you still have salvation? 2 Timothy 2:15 is extremely important here. In Him, lionheart |
