Bible Note: You have both given me good advice. And I will continue to love my brother and to show him love, despite his mistakes. What angered me about him when he was preaching was that he put God down on man's level. He did not treat God with respect and his words were demeaning to God. I almost walked out several times, and perhaps I should have to get his attention that something was wrong. The church did split over this man, but it happened AFTER I left, so I was not involved (I thank God for that mercy!), and I have always been friendly toward him and he probably even thinks I would have been one to vote FOR him, in all honesty. That is why I felt I was betraying my own feelings to be so friendly to him, but God's command is to love one another, so that is what I have done, and will continue to do, as you have confirmed that I have been doing the right thing all along. Thank you for your kind help. Janae. |
