Bible Question: My husband was raised Roman Catholic, although he is not practicing the faith actively, he results back to it in times of trial with his rosary. Without trying to insult him, I am trying to find the right words or explanations of what is wrong in the way they practice their religon. That is why he still feels so empty inside. Can someone help me? |
Bible Answer: Catrose, I think it is good that your husband resorts to some kind of prayer in times of trial. It would be even better if he also did the same when not in times of trial. It is not the Rosary or the Catholic faith that makes him feel empty, it is the failure to live the Gospel more fully whether as a Catholic or not. Perhaps if he was practicing his faith more fully he would be more full of the faith. The Holy Spirit leads in these matters. The wrong way that some Catholics pratice their religion is that they do not practice it. The same is true of many Christians of any denomination. If he is being led to God through the Catholic faith don't discourage him, encourage him to go deeper. |
