Bible Note: II Timothy 2:15 - We must rightly divide the word. Most people take their 'salvation' scriptures from the epistles which were letters written to people who were already saved. The historical account of the verbatim preaching of the apostles to lost people on how to be saved is found in the Book of Acts. This is where we can read the actual accounts of people being born again (born of water and the Spirit). Here we find the apostles obeying the great commission and the people obeying the gospel. Acts chapters 2,8,10,16,19 specifically. Here the preaching of the Apostles encompasses more than just belief. I hope this helps. |
