Subject: What is a counted all joy in trials? |
Bible Note: Greetings Doc - as I study James and ponder this notion of joy in trials, I'm wondering if we need to look at the little word "it." What does "it" refer to? Might "it" be referencing verse 12 - "Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him." We rejoice because our names are written in Heaven (Luke 10:20);we take joy in knowing that regardless of what we are going through now, our reward is in Heaven (Mt 5:12) - so we can be glad as we wait patiently (endure) here in this life. Is there a connect here? (see also 1 Peter 1:7) Blessings, mommapbs |
