Bible Note: Doc, Thank you for answering so quickly! Yes, I knew that about adoption and that actually raised a few questions with me. For sometimes the adopted one would take the place of the actual firstborn (I've heard). But I just realized one point that I left out, it's a marker (that's the word I couldn't think of before - old age don't you know?) that's peculiar to the Aaronic line (the Cohen's, Cohn's, etc.). It's not so much that I'm interested (at this point) in human ancestry, I just think that if it's true about the Aaronic line having a genetic anomoly (spell??) that it's utterly fascinating.
