Bible Question:
When God exercises His punishment or teachings through:- - afflictions - His "absence" or silence Which is more severe to a believer? Shalom Azure |
Bible Answer: God's day to you my sister Azure, I think about Job. I believe he was able to endure the afflictions in the first two chapters well ... he said, "We indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity" (2:10). I think when his friends started to talk, he thought God wasn't around, which I believe as tougher. David could not bear not being in fellowship with his Lord. Psalm 51 is oe example. Growing up I rather have correction or redirection from my parents, than them not being around. Some friends wanted to be in mu shoes, because their parents weren't around ... or worse didn't care. I rather have afflictions by His hand of love than not sensing His presence. S |
