AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 11:7 By faith [with confidence in God and His word] Noah, being warned by God about events not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his family. By this [act of obedience] he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness which comes by faith. [Gen 6:13-22] |
Bible Question:
(Hebrews 11:7 KJV) By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Does this mean that he will be judged by the quality of his faith? |
Bible Answer: Hi terrib, As I considered your thought-provoking question and looked at these things regarding faith, the bottom line for me is the fact that God is able (Hebrews 11:19) and God has allotted to each a measure of faith (Romans 12:3). Romans 8:4, "in order that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit." Colossians 3:1, "If then you have been raised with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God." ******** Hebrews 11:6, "And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is,..." Romans 8:16, "The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,..." John 4:24, "God is..." ******* Hebrews 11:19, NKJ, "concluding that God was able to raise him up,..." Romans 4:20, "yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief, but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully assured that what He had promised, He was able also to perform." Ephesians 3:19, "and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory...." We are to grow strong in faith giving glory to God and we are to be filled up to all the fullness of God. For (He) is able: Romans 16:25, "Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel..." Jude 24, "Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,..." Hebrews 9:11, NKJ, "But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come,... Hebrews 9:15, "And for this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant,..." ***** Colossians 3:3, "For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God." From the heart, Ray |
