Bible Question:
What do you consider to be the top three most important doctrines that the Bible teaches and why. I think that most all “true Christians” would agree that number one on the list would be the doctrine of salvation in Christ Jesus; how about number two and three and why? CDBJ |
Bible Answer: Dear Brother Chuck, That's a good question. I believe the kind of heresies in past and present may give us some clues as to the most important doctrines that believers should hold onto and stand firm. Satan hates the Word, Christ and His salvation work so much that he would make all his effort to attack these areas. He has done so in the beginning - attacking God's Word (Gen 3:1-5), and will certainly do so as we have seen many so-call christian scholars or liberal christians challenges the inerrancy and authority of the Bible. The other is the attack on the Deity of Christ (Mat 24:5, 1 John 4:1-3) where we can see heresies of old and new denying Him and the resurrection of Jesus. (1 Cor 15:12-14) So, the above two are what I considered the most important doctrines. Just my 2 cents :-) Shalom Azure |
