Bible Question:
I thought this should have its very own discussion. I've seen on this forum as well as other places, recently and not so recently, the act of maybe placing slightly more of an emphasis on certain Scripture due to accuracy, who spoke it and when it was penned. Is there not problem with this way of thinking due to the author of all Scripture? Shouldn’t we hold all of His words at the same level? Or am I maybe being a bit too sensitive here? Looking forward to comments. Stand in His grace, WOS |
Bible Answer: I too wonder about the authority of some scriptures ..I read everything that was high lighted in red ( Jesus was being Quoted)in the Bible and find Paul and several others take a much higher aproach. In other words it would seem to follow the written things Jesus spoke would be much easier than what Peter and Paul tell us. Maybe I'm misunderstanding this. Maybe what was written of the teachings of Jesus was for you and I to read ,but what Paul and others taught was different than what we are taught because paul would be dedicating his absolute life to the hardship of teaching and would have been taught as one would teach a minister to the world.Of coarse there would have been thousands of lessons the 12 would have been taught .Sort of like a school teacher that goes to school to learn abc's then goes back and learns much more because this time the teacher is being taught to teach the abc's not to learn them..Any way thats kinda how I justify the disciples being more strict than Jesus seems to be.
