AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God's will, both publicly and privately--behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; |
Bible Question:
how do we know that that verse is accurate? |
Bible Answer: For people who do not believe that the Scriptures are inspired of God there is no "knowing". The one requirement of God places on us is to believe and THEN we shall see. (Not always the case, but the vast vast majority of the time this is true). At some point in my life I believed some Scriptures and I saw that they were true and it gave me more believing that other parts of it were true. As I grew in believing what God says in His Scriptures I saw that He never lies. He always remains faithful to His Word. With the things I have seen and heard I could not be convinced otherwise. This is not to say I believe every single verse so that God is totally fulfilled in me because that is not true. We grow in believing as we believe. It's a paradox but we first must believe and then we see. But when we see is up to God. If you don't believe and want to you can ask God to help you with your unbelief. What do you want to believe? |
