NASB | 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God's will, both publicly and privately--behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; |
Bible Question:
during the 30-60 or so years after the death of jesus, people only spoke of jesus and didn't really write about him until after. (i think). is it possible that their oral traditions could be innacurate? or , could they have conformed into one belief and - the new testament? |
Bible Answer: 2 Tim 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, (NIV) You see it doesn't really matter when the actual Scriptures were written down because they were inspired from God to someone who wrote the Scriptures down. So any oral traditions would be meaningless. |
