Bible Question: I am still confused. Shouldnt we want more out of life than just the system? I am quite sure that God dont honor people not working when they are able to work. |
Bible Answer: Hello again Nakia! As jdbound said, you are absolutly right. However, It seems that you are confused about the difference between contentment and laziness. You can be a hard worker and still find yourself on welfare for a period of time. But, a diligent person will always seek to do better. While he is down though, he will trust that God will bring him out: Phil 4 11Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: 12I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13I can do all things through Christ[2] who strengthens me. Proverbs 13:4 The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich. Does this answer your confusion? Pastor Glenn |
