Subject: Rule or Ideal? |
Bible Note: I believe that I answered the Question correctly? You may call it a Rule or Ideal, or Something Else! The Word in Matthew 4:4 and Luke 4:4 tell us what we are to LIVE BY, does it NOT? IF God had a standard, for His Priests in the OT, should not that one be the same in the NT? Are we not Priests and Kings,Revelation 1:6? If a Levite Priest, was not to marry a Widow, does not that imply a single Purity for that Position of Pastor, i.e. "One Wife?" Does not Word in James 3:1 Hold a Higher Standard for those Pastors, or teachers or overseers or whatever you call them? Any Leaders of Any Type in God's Economy or Word, or Kingdom, will be held to "God's Higher Standard, James 3:1! Thank you! |
