Bible Question: I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW TAKEN FROM THE SCRIPTURE GIVEN 2TIM 1:3 HOW DOES A MINISTER KEEP A CLEAR CONSCIENCE AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO HAVE A CLEAR CONSCIENCE?? THANK YOU! |
Bible Answer: Love4Him: I am afraid I haven't read or remembered every posting to this thread. Therefore, if the question I am about to ask has already been answered, then I ask your indulgence. My question: In this thread has anyone given a good, sound, accurate, generally agreed upon definition of "conscience?" If so, I missed it. If not, then it seems that defining one's terms is a good place to start and essential to the correcting understanding of the question, as well as to the writing of a reply. Note that I am not asking people, "Well, what do you feel conscience means?" "I don't know, what do you feel it means?" This is not what I'm asking for. What I'm asking for is a definition of conscience according to some reliable source, e.g. the Bible, Bible study helps, English dictionary, Bible dictionary, etc. Thank you. |
